Driers

High-performance Calcium, Lead, Manganese, and Zirconium octoate driers formulated for solvent-based coatings and printing inks to ensure tough, durable, and reliable film polymerization.

Calcium Octoate 10%

Calcium Octoate is an auxiliary drier for coatings based on the Calcium salt of saturated branched mixture acids in mineral spirit.

It improves drying characteristics at low temperatures and provides excellent resistance to wrinkling caused by high levels of cobalt. It is most often used in combination with Lead, Zirconium, and/or Cobalt driers.

Lead Octoate 24%

Lead Octoate (24%) functions as a primary drier that promotes the polymerization of drying oils into hard, insoluble films. Known as a "Thorough Drier," it ensures drying through the entire film thickness while improving toughness and durability.

Ideal for solvent-based coatings and printing inks. Can also be utilized as a specialized lubricant additive. Best used in combination with Cobalt and Manganese.

Lead Octoate 36%

Lead Octoate (36%) is our highly concentrated primary "Thorough Drier" formulation. It heavily promotes the polymerization of drying oils, drying the film completely through its entire thickness.

Significantly improves the toughness and durability of the finished film in solvent-based coatings and printing inks. Can also serve as a high-concentration lubricant additive.

Manganese Octoate 10%

Manganese Octoate is an intermediate activity drier featuring both oxidizing and polymerizing properties. Due to its naturally dark reddish-brown color, it is best suited for non-white or darker finishes.

When used in combination with Lead and Cobalt, it is highly effective at producing exceptionally hard, tough, and durable films for solvent-based coatings and printing inks.

Zirconium Octoate 24%

Zirconium Octoate serves as an excellent auxiliary drier that effectively replaces Lead. It is highly recommended for overcoming the ecological disadvantages associated with traditional Lead driers.

Miscible with organic solvents and oils. Best used in combination with Cobalt, Manganese, and/or Calcium to promote thorough drying of coatings and printing inks.
